Hi folks, it’s been a busy two weeks around here and I haven’t managed much time on the blog, but I’m making time today to share another awesome find with you. It’s really hotting up in Dubai and with the summer holidays almost upon us, I bet many are already dreaming of picturesque escapes and good vacay vibes. Here’s a little something that’s sure to get you in the mood… A few weeks ago, I spotted one of Gray Malin’s amazing images on Instagram and was instantly (see what I did there?) intrigued.
If you haven’t already seen some of the LA-based photographer’s work, you should really get on to that. One of the first images I saw, which immediately had my attention, was from the ‘A La Plage’ collection which showcases a bird’s eye view (from doorless helicopters) of luxury beaches across several continents. It’s enough to have you reaching for your passport!

As the Huffington Post so accurately put it, ‘Beyond just showing summer at its best, the images turn real life scenarios into abstract planes of color and shape, as colorful umbrellas, towels and tiki huts form patterns on the expansive sand and sky scenes below us.’
Two other amazing collections are his La Dolce Vita and Art Deco Miami, but honestly, anyone would have a tough time picking their favorite amongst Malin’s vast bank of spectacular images which is by no means limited to coastal aerials. There is something for everyone – the fashionistas amongst you will no doubt favor the Prada Marfa and Mad Men series.
I love how this talented photographer has used pieces from his collections in his own gorgeously colorful home.
Have a look at Gary Malin’s website to appreciate the full extent of his brilliance – his online shop includes small collections of wallpaper, ceramics and even swimwear.
