Don’t you love a free printable? I sure do. I remember when I first started reading blogs, many of my favourite design blogs were found as a result of searching for free printables. I’ve always loved having fresh flowers in my home. It can be an expensive indulgence but it’s one that I ‘allow’ myself as often as I can. I do however like to keep it simple with lots of green – I’ll usually opt for lilies, hydrangeas or roses, but lately, I’m paring things down even further, and quite coincidentally, saving some money in the process.
Have you spotted the trend of using organic shaped tableware? I’m talking beautiful free form ceramics with curves and shapes that are perfectly imperfect. This unique and organic style is trending all over the globe. Closer to home, I’ve noticed that one of my favourite local eateries Tom & Serg has hopped onto this trend and the gorgeous platters and bowls used to serve their yummy meals are a perfect complement to their casual interior style. Last week this awesome city welcomed it’s inaugural Dubai Design Week, held in partnership with Dubai Design District (d3). For a city that always feels alive with possibilities, last week was particularly exciting with design related events, activities and installations seen across the city. Dubai has changed so much in the ten years that I’ve now lived here – it just keeps getting better!
